The Original Swan Boats:
In the 1940s and 1950s, large, motorized swan boats and small U-drive pleasure crafts operated on Wesley Lake.
By the 1970s and 1980s, the city’s economy faltered, rides began to close, and recreational boating on Wesley Lake disappeared entirely for several decades.
In 2011, the boating tradition was officially revived with a new fleet called Asbury Park Pedal Boats.
